Meri is the founder and creative force behind Gardens of the Sun. She has a big vision for the impact our jewelry will have on the world, with a fearless blend of storytelling passion and out of the box thinking - like, she’s that person that creates strategies in her sleep. She’s on a mission to meet every single person in our supply chain, so we create jewelry that makes you feel better than before and while supporting everyone involved in making it.

Annisa is the co-founder, making Gardens of the Sun a true women-owned enterprise. She’s a brand guardian and champion, using words to give our jewelry wings and meaning. Whether it’s the cheeky one-liner on our packaging or the poetry that accompanies our jewelry, Annisa injects delight, heart and personality into all of our writing.

As co-owner and Chief of Operations, Ferris is a multi-task chameleon, connecting the dots across our customer service, production, visual and marketing teams. She’s excited about bringing ideas to life from start to finish and finding creative ways to drive our growth. Most days she’s deep diving into planning product launches and handing all things social media, other days brainstorming new ideas and sharing our newest drops.

Chacha is responsible with capital “R”. Through digging into analytics, planning the customer journey and coordinating brand awareness, she’s a wizz when it comes to pulling together strategy and implementation. Thanks to her, we’re known as the go-to brand for ethical jewelry, making our clients brag about us to friends and family. Besides that, she’s the right hand woman to the Directors. We’d be pretty lost without her. 

Evi lives and breathes sustainability. She’s here to help us level up on the sustainability playing field, ensuring Gardens of the Sun becomes increasingly ethical and responsible. She improves transparency in our supply chains, implements our sourcing policy and paves the roadmap to getting B Corp certified, while thinking about the impact of every single decision we make. 

Wulan ♡ quality. All jewelry will make their first stop on her desk! She’s the woman in charge of getting your jewelry made. Wulan raises the game on our quality standards and building systems for our production, ensuring they work seamlessly, and are fast as lightning. 

Hanum is our go-to person for graphic design. Throw her a branding or digital design question and be surprised with her extraordinary and unique designs. From packaging to digital, to evolving our design guidelines, she helps build and ensure that our visual designs keep up with all the exciting things happening at Gardens of the Sun. 

Making sure the day-to-day operations are running slick and smooth (like making sure the fridge is fully stocked), Yudi holds down the fort. She makes sure we all get paid on time and helps us run efficiently as a business.

Sogi puts all of your pieces together into beautiful packages of love and ensures all packages are shipped out timely. We recently discovered he’s got epic jewelry design skills, so who knows what’s next?

Mas Apri is our Master gold smith and business partner since 2014. At the very early stages of Gardens of the Sun, Meri helped him set up his own workshop. He's since hired and trained new gold smiths and silver smiths. Meet Apri here. 

Yatman is one of our goldsmiths. He's specialized in pave setting those tiny diamonds into your rings. 

Udin is a gold smith who'll often help out with the more intricate silver designs. 

Dwui is nicknamed Mamo. He makes most of the custom birthstone jewelry you order. 

In Javanese, his name means “a young man”. Born with a bone condition and caring for his blind father for years, Joko joined Mas Apri as an apprentice and has since specialized in creating your Hidden Gems jewelry. You can read an interview with him here. 

Aged 22, Johan is our youngest silversmith. One of his favorite things about the workshop are the people. “Even though we work on each piece individually, we still help each other. The team is so humble and generous.” His big brothers nurtured him, and made a comfortable workspace for him to grow. Get to know Johan in this interview.
